Born 4-10-1970, Wim played organ, clarinet and slide-trombone when just a kid.
Later he studied Composition, Contemporary Music at the conservatory of Tilburg, NL, with the Rumanian composer Alexandru Hrisanide. At this stage he also immersed himself in the world of jazz harmonica intensively; a trip that lasted for seven years.
After four sabbatical years he picked up the thread again in 2002. He is active as composer of contemporary classical music and as an improvising musician (chromatic harmonica) in various international formations.
